New Era Celebrates 59 Years Of The 59FIFTY On-Field Cap

New Era, the iconic brand, marks milestone date with limited-edition 59FIFTY cap collection...

From its humble beginnings as a tightly-knit family business in Buffalo, New York, New Era has grown into an international lifestyle brand with an authentic sports heritage. To celebrate 59 years of the 59FIFTY on-field cap, New Era will release a one-off collection of four specially designed caps.
The collection will come in a variety of styles, including cashmere, faux crocodile skin and gold lamé fabric, with unique sidepatch sign-off.

In 1996, New York filmmaker Spike Lee approached the company to make an unthinkable red New York Yankees fitted cap. Spike debuted the red cap at the 1996 World Series, where he was shown on TV - exposing the cap to millions. The public's response and demand for the cap was overwhelming, and ushered in a whole new awareness of the brand.

Today, New Era continues to apply the same craftsmanship and attention to detail with every cap, still adhering to the '22 Steps' of production used over 90 years ago. New Era produces over 35 million a year globally, with offices in Canada, Japan, France, Germany, South America and China.
